Kiwanis awards scholarships to area students

The Fulton Kiwanis Club recently awarded scholarships to students throughout the county.

The Kiwanis scholarships are for $500.

Kiwanis presented a scholarship to Gavin Rasmussen from North Callaway High School. He will attend the Bontbonne University in St. Louis majoring in pre-medicine.

A scholarship was presented to Cassidy Mealy from South Callaway High School. She will attend Southeast Missouri State University majoring in social work.

Daniel Moak received a Kiwanis scholarship. He will attend the University of Missouri majoring in biomedical engineering.

Olivia Huff from Fulton High School was a recipient of the Kiwanis scholarship. She will attend Missouri Baptist University majoring in forensic psychology.

The final recipient of the Kiwanis scholarship was Pauline Foats from Fulton High School. She will be attendending either the University of Missouri or Drury University to major in chemistry.

Foats was also the recipient of the $1,000 Earl Collins scholarship awarded by Kiwanis District.

"All recipients distinguished themselves academically, and in extracurricular and community service participation," a Kiwanis release states. "The Fulton Kiwanis Club salutes these outstanding young students."
