MayaBella celebrated opening its doors with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday.

MayaBella -- located at 502 Jefferson St. -- is a boutique owned and run by co-owners Tammie Thurman and Mae Billingsley.

Billingsley is a Fulton native, and Thurman is from Jefferson City.

"We're very excited to open our doors here in Fulton," Thurman said. "We hope to offer a variety of things for people that everybody can come in and shop."

Billingsley read a quote from Nelson Mandela that she thought was relevant to MayaBella.

"'It always seems impossible until it's done,'" she quoted.

MayaBella will have a grand opening event on Saturday, June 3. Giveaways and treats will be available.
