SC boys basketball falls to New Franklin in 3rd-place game of Sturgeon Tournament

In the third-place game of the 39th Annual Sturgeon Tournament, No. 4 seed South Callaway boys basketball lost 71-56 against Class 2 No. 5, No. 2 seed New Fraklin Saturday afternoon at Sturgeon High School.

The Bulldogs were led by Tayber Gray with 15 points, Ryan Lepper with 13 and Evan Sconce-Martin with nine.

Next, South Callaway (10-9, 3-1) hosts Show-Me Conference opponent Russellville (8-11, 0-2) for Senior Night at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Mokane. The Bulldogs beat the Indians in their first two meetings this season.
