A Columbia man suffered moderate injuries when he fell asleep at the wheel and crashed Monday morning near Tebbetts in Callaway County.
Bobby W. Baker, 71, about 9:23 a.m., was westbound in a Chevrolet pickup on Missouri Highway 94 near County Road 485, when he fell asleep, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
The pickup went off the left side of the road and struck a culvert. It then hit two telephone poles and came to rest south of the highway.
Baker, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
