State of Judiciary set for Feb. 8

by News Tribune Staff | January 24, 2023 at 4:00 a.m.

With the governor's State of the State delivered, it's time for Missouri's judiciary to address the state.

Chief Justice Paul Wilson of the Missouri Supreme Court is scheduled to deliver the annual State of the Judiciary address Wednesday, Feb. 8, in the House of Representatives chamber at the Capitol.

The House will gavel into session around 10:15 a.m., and Wilson will speak shortly after, addressing lawmakers and statewide officeholders gathered together for the address.

Last year, better wages for court employees and tighter security for courtrooms were among the points Wilson targeted in his speech.

The address will be live-streamed by House media staff online at house.mo.gov/MediaCenter.aspx.
