PSC sets intervention deadline for Callaway utility project

Stakeholders have until Feb. 14 to apply to intervene and participate in a state regulatory case over the Burns Switchyard project in Callaway County.

Ameren Missouri filed an application with the Missouri Public Service Commission (PSC) to construct and operate a new switchyard and related facilities in Callaway County. Under an agreement reached with other utility entities in the area, Show Me State Solar LLC proposed an interconnection with another transmission system in the area to deliver the desired energy output.

Switchyards are stations where connections can be made between different energy transmission lines, similar to how switchyards for rail systems transfer trains to the appropriate set of tracks.

Stakeholders hoping to intervene may file applications with the secretary of the PSC via mail at P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missour, 65102, or online at psc.mo.gov.

Individuals may submit comments with the Office of the Public Counsel at the Governor Office Building, 200 Madison St., Suite 650, P.O. Box 2230, Jefferson City, Missouri, 65102-2230, over the phone at 866-922-2959, or via email at e-mail [email protected]. They can also contact Public Service Commission Staff by mail at P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, Missouri, 65102, by telephone at 1-800-392-4211 or via email at [email protected].
