A Holts Summit man faces property damage charges in Cole County after an incident last week.
Landen Talbert, 20, was charged with one count each of first-degree and second-degree property damage.
A Cole County Sheriff's Office probable cause statement states the USPS office building and a work vehicle in the 5100 block of Simpson Street in Russellville were tagged with spray paint graffiti that could not be completely removed last week. Authorities investigated the incident, using surveillance video and witness accounts for leads.
An initial suspect was identified through interviews at the nearby Russellville High School, and he admitted he had painted the graffiti with another subject he identified as "Landen." The suspect admitted the pair had tagged numerous signs and buildings, including the USPS site, and had burned clothing and other material used during the graffiti spree.
Talbert was located and allegedly admitted to the tagging incident Friday. He showed authorities his signature tag, which was found at the sites in Russellville.
The damages amounted to more than $750, making the offense a felony.
