Katie French picked up American Midwest Conference (AMC) women's field athlete of the week honors following her NAIA "A" Standard Saturday afternoon, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
French finished first in the shot put with a mark of 13.92 meters, hit the NAIA "A" standard and broke the William Woods record finish in the shot put and added a fifth-place finish in the weight throw with a toss of 15.44 meters.
William Woods and French will compete in the Jim Green Invite at 10 a.m. Saturday in Jacksonville, Illinois.
