Friends of the Callaway County Public Library will hold a book sale Sept. 9.
Profits from the sale will support Callaway County Public Library's services and programming.
Mary Fennel, member of the Friends of the Callaway County Public Library, said the Friends of the Library consult library administration on what their needs are and make purchases for the library based on those suggestions.
Hardbacks and large paperbacks are $1, standard paperbacks are 50 cents and children's books are 25 cents.
Most of the books sold are "donated from the community," while some are withdrawn library materials, Fennel said.
Fennel said the Friends of the Callaway County Public Library are "always grateful" for book donations and people coming to support the book sale.
The sale will be 9 a.m. to noon in the Callaway County Public Library's Friends Room.
There will be a pre-sale for Friends of the Callaway Public Library 4:30-6 p.m. Sept 8 in the Friends Room. Memberships can be purchased at the door, $5 for individuals and $10 for families.
