Westminster College will host its new student convocation at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Westminster alumnus Da'Shaun L. Scott will deliver the convocation address to the incoming class of students.
Scott graduated from Westminster in 2016 with a degree in business communication and human resources management, according to a Westminster release. He also attended Indiana University in Bloomington where he earned a master's degree in higher education and student affairs and a graduate certificate in education law.
Scott currently serves as the vice president of the Westminster College Alumni Council. He is also the assistant director of student engagement at Washington University in St. Louis.
Convocation will begin with the Columns Ceremony, where incoming students will walk through the historic columns. Students will be led by the Skulls of Seven honor society, the College Marshal and bagpipes.
Heather Ripperger, Custodian of the Columns and Skulls of Seven member, will induct the Class of 2027 as Westminster students.
Darvin Fowler and Madison VanDyke, incoming Westminster freshmen, will deliver a response address.
Convocation is open to the public and will additionally be livestreamed online on the college's website, YouTube and Facebook pages.
