The Fulton Event Center was filled with smells of popcorn and children's happiness during the All-American Circus on Monday.
The circus featured acts of juggling, aerial artistry, clowns, dirt bike drivers in a metal cage and more. It also offered a bounce house, face painting and food for participants.
The All-American Circus has been traveling all across the country for many years, but this was the first time it performed in Fulton.
"The best part is seeing everybody enjoy the show and every day when we move to every town," Esdrella Garcia, co-owner of the circus, said. "A lot of people say, 'Oh, thank you for coming to the town and this is a good show.'"
The circus was a "great way to get everybody together," Danasia Pittman, an attendee, said.
"It gets kids out of the house, it gives them things to experience," Pittman said. "Some people don't have the opportunity to do that often."
Cassandra Hoskins, an attendee, was begged by her two daughters to bring them to the circus. After watching the performances the kids thought it was 'the greatest thing," Cassandra said.
"The clown is the best part because he makes me laugh," Bekkah, Cassandra's daughter, said.
The next circus will be held at 7 p.m. on Aug. 9, at the Cooper County Fair in Boonville. To purchase tickets, visit allamericancircus.com. Online tickets are $5 per child and $15 per adult.
