The New Bloomfield School District is working on getting a new greenhouse.
The R-3 School Board accepted the bid from Stuppy Greenhouses at this month's school board meeting, but after discussion, the board moved to table the motion until the October board meeting.
Sarah Wisdom, New Bloomfield superintendent, said the school board tabled the purchase because they need to find a new place to locate the greenhouse and need to get bids on the site preparation.
As a result, it may delay the purchase of the new greenhouse, which would be used to expand curriculum and experiences for students.
The board will discuss the bid at its next meeting, which is set for 6 p.m. Oct. 20 in the central office meeting room.
