On a night that Fulton girls tennis honored its seniors, it was all the more sweeter as the Hornets beat Battle 9-0 Monday in Fulton.
In singles play, Fulton's seniors Jayna Davison beat Kerynna Jarman 8-0 (No. 1 singles match), Tori Hays beat Breleigh Moore 8-0 (No. 2) and Maelynn Kramer beat Isabella Brideford 8-0 (No. 6).
The Hornets' senior pair of Davison and Kramer beat Jarman and Moore 8-0 in the No. 1 doubles match. Hays and Marwa Sherzad won their No. 2 doubles match 8-0 against Lorraine Arnold and Sahej Preet Kaur.
Fulton's Madison Plybon defeated Arnold 8-0 in the No. 3 singles match; Kier Henderson beat Kaur 8-0 in the No. 4 singles match; Sherzad won 8-1 against Emily Weisensee in the No. 5 singles match.
Plybon and Henderson beat Battles Weisensee and Bridgeford 8-0 in the No. 3 doubles match.
Up next, Fulton (4-10) will compete in the North Central Missouri Conference Tournament at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Marshall.
