Westminster College women's soccer was probably the more satisfied team in the 1-1 draw against St. Louis Intercollegiate Atheltic Conference opponent Webster Saturday in Fenton.
The goalkeepers for each team made five saves on six shots on goal, but the Gorlocks outshot the Blue Jays 20-10. Additionally, Webster's eight corner kicks were five more than Westminster had.
Jordan Lande put the Gorlocks on the scoresheet first, netting a goal in the 14th minute; Mackenzie O'Neal was credited with the assist. That was the only goal before halftime.
In the second half, Westminster finally got its goal when Madi Lenk scored in the 70th minute; Maddy Lawton was the provider.
Up next, Westminster (3-3-1, 2-1-1 SLIAC) will play another conference match, this time against Greenville (4-3-1, 3-1) at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Greenville, Illinois.
