Fulton girls golf, Ousley take home Callaway Cup titles

Fulton girls golf won the Callaway Cup, signing for a 201 at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club in New Bloomfield.

The Hornets also won the individual title, with Grace Ousley carding a 43. She finished with a five-stroke lead over New Bloomfield's Dixie Moss.

New Bloomfield also finished second as a team, posting a 226. South Callaway also competed in the event but they didn't have enough golfers for a team score.

The Lady Bulldogs were led by Gabby Hecktor, who took sixth after carding a 53.

Scores for Fulton following Ousley were Regann Cunningham in third with a 50, Malaysha Thompson in fourth with a 52, Carly Foster with a 56 and Taylor Gilmore with a 65.

For New Bloomfield, its scores after Moss were Nataleigh White in fifth with a 52, Logann Bryan with a 58, Caeli Lawrence with a 63 and Kennedy Wisdom with a 64.

South Callaway's only other score besides Hecktor was Izzy Neeley with a 61.

Up next, Fulton will compete in the North Central Missouri Conference Championships at 9 a.m. Monday at Kirksville Country Club in Kirksville.

Next up, New Bloomfield and South Callaway will tee off in the Eugene Quad at 4 p.m. Monday at Redfield Golf Course in Eugene, Missouri.
