Westminster women’s soccer loses its first conference game of the season

In its third conference game, Westminster College women's soccer lost its first St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference game, falling 1-0 against Fontbonne Wednesday in Fulton.

Blue Jays goalkeeper Megan Davidson did all she could, stopping 15 saves on 16 shots on goal.

That one shot she didn't save was enough for the Griffins to win it. Fontbonne's Krystal Kohenskey scored the lone goal of the match in the 66th minute.

While Davidson only allowed one goal out of the 16 shots on goal she faced, Westminster was able to muster just two shots on goal. Fontbonne goalkeeper Mary Beers was able to save the two shots on goal.

Westminster (3-3) will hope to get back to winning ways against Webster (3-4) at 1 p.m. Saturday in Fenton.
