by Robby Campbell | September 22, 2022 at 4:00 a.m.

Westminster College men's soccer's offense was just marginally lesser than Fontbonne, that was enough for the Griffins to win 2-1 Wednesday in Fulton.

While it may have lost, the Blue Jays scored the first goal thanks to Geoffrey Schultz off a Francois Moua assist in the 21st minute.

Fontbonne's Caleb Kollmeyer would respond with a goal in the 42nd minute.

At halftime, the score was level at 1-1, but the Griffins were able to score the match-winner in the second half.

In the 83rd minute, Fontbonne's Anthony Dalton scored the winner on his second goal of the season, sealing a 2-1 victory.

Westminster goalkeeper Toby Hughes made five saves on seven shots in the Blue Jays' loss.

Next up, Westminster (1-6) will play Webster (4-1-2) at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Fenton.
