After going on a three-game winning streak, William Woods women's soccer lost 2-1 against Oakland City Tuesday in Fulton.

In the second half, Woods notched 13 shots and pressured Might Oaks goalkeeper Kassidy Elkin.
Lauren Helmert scored Woods' lone goal in the 69th minute and was assisted by Sam Poehlmann. It was Helmert's third consecutive match with a goal and her sixth score for the season.
Four minutes later, Oakland City responded with a Claudia Melgar free-kick goal.
Owls goalkeeper Michyla Handley made eight saves on 10 shots on goal in the loss.
William Woods (3-5-1) will return to the pitch to face No. 12 John Brown (3-3) at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
