Fulton Public Schools enrollment up

Fulton Public Schools gave an update on facilities and enrollment during Wednesday's board of education meeting.

Superintendent Dr. Ty Crain said enrollment is back up after losing students over the last few years.

This school year there are 2,265 students enrolled, he said. For virtual learning, there 11 high school students taking one class virtually and one high school student taking two classes virtually.

As for the pool at the high school, Crain said they have identified where the leak is and hope to have a update next month on a possible solution to the leak.

The district's facilities committee is working on fixing floor tiles, roofs, of many improvements.

The parking lot on east side is still being worked on.

The middle school parking lot is about complete, said board member Andy Bonderer. The foundation was being worked on.

"We are making some solid progress," he said.
