William Woods students awarded prestigious scholarship

Three business and technology students at William Woods University have received scholarships from an international business honor society.

The students were recently honored with scholarships from Delta Mu Delta, an international business honor society. They are: Hannah Meyer, from Queensland, Australia; Tara Rogers, from Harvest, Alaska; and Kassidy Phillips, from Villa Ridge, Missouri.

Meyer received $2,500, Rogers received $2,000 and Phillips received $500 from Delta Mu Delta. The money from the scholarships will be used by the students to help pay for their educational expenses.

The School of Business and Technology majors includes accounting, cybersecurity and business administration.

Miriam O'Callaghan, chair of undergraduate business programs at WWU, said in a news release the students were judged upon academic achievement, leadership, service and character.
