Fulton Public Schools is making progress on one of its parking lots.

The school board approved a contract change for more improvements on the high school parking lot during Wednesday's board of education meeting.

The Nabholz Prime Contract Change order is for the additional striping of the band practice lot to add hash marks and lines.

Fulton superintendent Dr. Ty Crain reviewed the two prime contract change orders from Nabholz for the high school parking lot.

There was a motion by school board member Leah Baker and it was seconded by school board member Connie Epperson to approve the Nabholz Prime Contract Change Order #1 totaling $4,848.96 and Nabholz Prime Contract Change Order #2 totaling $34,011.80.

The vote was 7 for and 0 against. The motion was carried.

There was also an update given on attendance.

Through the first 30 days of school, 83.82% of students have attended school 90% or more, according to assistant superintendent Dr. Chris Hubbuch.

Fulton School District has been working on an attendance awareness campaign this year with the goal to have 90 percent of students attending 90 percent of the time.

Other tasks this month included the completion of a self-assessment tool from Attendance Works and the revision of administrative procedures.
