North Callaway girls basketball drops first away game of the season at Centralia

North Callaway girls basketball played its first road game of the season and lost 47-31 against Centralia Tuesday night in Centralia.

The Ladybirds' Natalie Shyrock shined in the contest, recording 15 points, five rebounds, three 3-pointers and two steals. North Callaway also had solid performances from Lakyn Hartley, with six points, and Lauren Riecke, who had four points and four rebounds.

Jozelynn Bostick guided the Panthers to victory with 10 points and three steals. Other standout performances for Centralia were Annie Robison, with nine points and five rebounds; Morgan Ross, who had nine points; and Shelby Lewis, who finished with eight points and six rebounds.

Up next, the North Callaway Ladybirds (1-1) travel to Silex to take on the Silex Lady Owls (1-1) at 7 p.m. Thursday.
