Fulton Kiwanis fundraiser set to support children in the community

A fundraiser is being planned by Fulton Kiwanis.

Black and Gold Nutrition in Fulton has partnered with Fulton Kiwanis to support programs for kids in the community.

From the fundraiser, 10% of sales (excluding gift cards) will be donated to Fulton Kiwanis.

It is the first time Kiwanis is partnering with Black and Gold Nutrition.

Black N Gold Nutrition is a Herbalife Club and provides healthy lifestyles with nutritional shakes, loaded teas, proteins, donut shots, and beauty teas.

Funds raised will go towards a scholastic project, said Nicole Holt, Fulton Kiwanis board member. Kiwanis does five scholarships within Callaway County for a graduating senior.

By supporting a local business, it can make a difference for kids.

"With us representing the children of Callaway County, we are trying to do everything local," Holt said.

Kiwanis would like to maintain business within the community, she said.

The fundraiser is one day only and spreading the word is the goal to get people to go support a local business.

Flyers have already been posted around Fulton along with a Facebook event about the fundraiser.

The Black N Gold Fundraiser starts at 6 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. on Dec. 2 at 1883 North Bluff St.
