Westminster football players named to All-UMAC teams

The Upper Midwest Athletic Conference announced the All-UMAC teams Sunday, and four Westminster College football players were selected.

Blue Jays' linebacker Dawson Brandt made first-team all-defense, offensive lineman Ethan Talleur second-team all-offense and sportsmanship award, defensive lineman Justin Scales second-team all-defense and defensive back Robert Anthony second-team all-defense.

Brant played in nine games this season, recording 71 tackles (7.9 tackles per game), 0.5 sacks, 10 tackles for loss, two pass breakups and a block.

St. Clair graduate Talleur started as an offensive lineman for all 10 Westminster games this season.

In 10 games this season, Scales notched 43 tackles (4.3 TKL/G), 4.5 sacks and six TFL.

Anthony was involved in 10 games this season, registering 42 tackles (4.2 TKL/G), 4.5 TFL, four interceptions, eight pass breakups, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
