Tharp hired as Bush Elementary School principal

Fulton Public Schools 58 hired Jared Tharp to serve as principal at Bush Elementary School.

Tharp will start Aug. 1 for the 2022-23 school year. He has 10 years of education experience with four years in administration.

He began his career at Rolla Public Schools as a second- and third-grade teacher, as well as a basketball and football coach. After six years in Rolla, Tharp served as an elementary school assistant principal in Dixon R-1 Schools for two years.

He’s been principal at Gerald Elementary with Gasconade County Schools the past two years.

The Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals named Tharp the Exemplary New Principal for the South Central Region for 2022.

Tharp earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education at Drury University, a master’s degree in educational administration at Missouri Baptist University and a specialist’s degree in educational administration at William Woods University.

He is also in the final stages of a doctoral program at Lindenwood 

University and is working on his dissertation.
