Fulton School District will offer a new course next year.

Aerobics and Yoga will be coming in the 2023-2024 school year.

Chris Hubbuch, assistant superintendent at Fulton Public Schools, said Aerobics and Yoga is a half-credit physical education course, which had high interest from students and faculty.

Its curriculum needs to be written prior to the course being taught, he said. Three learning targets (goals) were added to the course proposal.

The course was approved by the school board Wednesday night and will start during next year's fall semester.

The school board also provided an update on construction at the high school.

Andy Bonderer, board member, said high school walls are being painted and floors are being polished. Work is progressing on the high school, he said, and will be completed soon.

Crews are installing cabinets and counter tops where needed inside the high school. The middle school is also progressing, he added.
