SERVE received a generous donation from Callabyte Technology.
Callabyte donated $3,800 to SERVE through new subscriber sign ups. Subscribers who helped donate received a free month of internet, according to Callabyte.
Diane Henry, of SERVE, said Callabyte approached SERVE with the idea for donating.
For every new hookup Callabyte did in the month of November, SERVE ended up getting $25 for each hookup.
Henry said the donation from Callabyte will be used toward the food pantry.
"We'll be using it to purchase food to keep our food pantry stocked during these trying times," she said.
This week SERVE is preparing for the distribution of meals and gifts on Dec. 15 at Westminster College as apart of the Adopt-a-Family program.
For 26 years, Adopt-a-Family has provided essential groceries for Callaway County households that are living in poverty, and gifts for children, disabled adults and seniors over the age of 60.
