New faculty join students at William Woods

With the start of the fall semester, new faculty members will be joining students at William Woods University.

Classes at the university began Monday, with both new and returning students attending classes. In addition to the student body, nine new faculty members will be teaching courses.

Anthony Andenoro is a new professor of business, as well as the chair of graduate programs and director of the WWU leadership center. He previously served as executive director and professor at St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida. Andenoro is a graduate of Texas A&M University.

Stacey Bonderer is a new assistant professor of education literacy. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri. Bonderer has 15 years of experience teaching as an adjunct professor at WWU, as well as teaching at Fulton High School and Rock Bridge High School.

Erin Cardea will be a new associate professor of equestrian studies. She is returning to WWU, as she earned a master's degree from the university. She previously taught as an associate professor at Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.

Stephen Cooper is a professor of social work and the director of the social work program. He previously served in several capacities at Stephen F. Austin University.

Alison Cope-Lovell is an instructor of English and freshman composition. She received two degrees from Stephen F. Austin University, as well as a degree from the University of Houston. She previously taught at Heritage Academy in Columbia as a language arts instructor.

Brittany Frederick is an assistant professor of interpreting. She received her doctorate in organizational leadership from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She also has a master's degree and a bachelor's degree. Frederick previously taught ASL at three different universities.

Katherine Friesen is an assistant professor of education, as well as the director of first year experience. She received her doctor of philosophy in education from Iowa St. University. She also has a master's degree and a bachelor's degree. She previously served as the program director and affiliate of higher education specialization at St. Thomas University in Miami.

Krista Frohling is an assistant professor of photography. She graduated from Southern Illinois University, as well as Webster University. She previously served as an adjunct professor of photography at the Art Institute of St. Louis, among other universities.

Blayne Murphy is an assistant professor of physical education. He graduated from Arkansas St. University, among other colleges. He previously worked at Mexico High School as a science teacher and assistant baseball coach.
