Fulton School District working on repairs

The Fulton School District has been making improvements in different areas as it prepares the campus for a new school year.

Superintendent Ty Crain said sod has been installed on the high school football field and that it is growing nicely.

There were also some drainage issues from back when the track was originally built, he said, and work to repair that should happen before the school year starts.

At McIntire Elementary School, the district replaced some tile floors in the north hallway and in a teacher's work room.

The outside of the buildings are being worked on and cleaning has been done. The middle school parking lot also is going to be striped.

Work to create secure entrances at the middle school should be completed by the end of the year, Crain said.
