MOKANE, Mo. -- South Callaway High School's Class of 2021 graduated Sunday afternoon in Mokane, where they were recognized by family, friends, classmates and faculty members.
As each graduate walked onto the football field, they either carried a blue or white carnation in honor of their late classmate, Bradley James Hall. Hall's family was encouraged to take the bouquet of flowers after the ceremony.
Senior band and choir members performed for the last time during the event. The band played "Rise of the Vulcan" by David Shaffer and the choir sang "Rise of the Stars" by Andy Beck.
Delaney Moser was named valedictorian of the class. Moser addressed her graduating classmates with the memories they have made over the past years, from kindergarten until Sunday's graduation. She left them with, "Our paths may change, but our memories together will last forever."
With diplomas in hand, tassels switched over and hats off to 2021, the graduates are ready for their next chapter.
