The Fulton Rotary Club has donated $500 worth of books to the Callaway County Public Library.
Rotarians set up a display Thursday afternoon featuring some of the 50 children's books purchased by the library. Each of the books focuses on peace. The project is part of the Fulton club's designation as a Rotary PeaceBuilder Club.
Rotarian Sherry McCarthy said Rotary District 6080 was inspired by the Fulton club's project to donate more books to the Daniel Boone Regional Library system.
While passing by the display Thursday afternoon, librarian Sherry McBride-Brown mentioned that patrons have already expressed interest in the books.
