Resurfacing set to start on Callaway roads

Missouri Department of Transportation contractors will start a project next week to resurface three roadways in Callaway County, according to a MoDOT news release.

Beginning Tuesday, crews will start resurfacing Route K between Route D and the Montgomery County line. Once that work is finished, similar resurfacing is planned in the coming weeks for Route PP between Routes 94 and BB, and Route HH between I-70 and Highway 54.

Lane closures will be required during construction and flaggers will be in place to guide motorists through the work zones. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in September.

Pace Construction Co. was awarded the contract for the work in June after submitting the low bid of $1,389,777.

The work is weather permitting and could be delayed. For more information and updates about this project or other transportation-related matters, call 1-888-ASK-MoDOT (275-6636) or visit www.modot.org/central.
