New Bloomfield Board of Education to consider tax rate hearing

NEW BLOOMFIELD, Mo. - The New Bloomfield R-3 School District Board of Education will consider a recommendation to approve the district's 2020-21 tax rate hearing for Aug. 19 at 6 p.m. Thursday during its July meeting in the district boardroom.

Board members will also take action on approving the agreement that was made with Kelly Services for the 2020-21 school year. The board will also approve the amended classified salary schedule that was updated to include the interpreters' column with the 6 percent increase, as well as the elementary library and blended learning specialist job description.

Superintendent Sarah Wisdom will inform board members about the district's finances, budget, the DESE-Federal Programs Conference, the Model School's Conference and the MARE Conference.

The board will also review the district's Comprehensive School Improvement Plan.

Under old business Thursday night, board members will hear updates on the district's COVID-19 plan and summer projects.
