FULTON, Mo. -- The Callaway County Health Department is closing its lobby to the public, authorities announced Tuesday.
Immunizations, tuberculosis testing and access to birth certificates are currently suspended. The CCHD will work through funeral homes to provide death certificates as needed.
WIC clinics will be via phone, and any new E-WIC cards will arrive through the mail. Expiration dates have been extended on food service cards.
The health department has temporarily ceased inspections of food facilities and child care facilities - many have already shut down, the health department pointed out in a blog post.
However, the CCHD is still conducting septic inspections as needed, because those require little in-person contact.

The 13th Judiciary Circuit, which includes the Callaway County court, has announced it will call no juries until after April 24.
"The order states we will do as much by video and phone that we call, but we are still working that part out," court administrator Mary Epping said via email. "Judges can continue to hold court in person, of those dockets still being held."
Those dockets are limited, including only proceedings such as mandatory bond review hearings, abuse/neglect protective custody hearings, emergency child custody hearings and any emergency hearings directly related to the COVID-19 public health emergency, among a handful of others - and even then, those are to be held in person only if alternative methods for conducting said hearings aren't available.
During in-person hearings, court marshals will be provided with a list of people who are required to appear for the hearing. No one else will be allowed in the court building, Epping said.
