POINT LOOKOUT - The William Woods Lady Owls posted victories in three of their four matches at the College of the Ozarks Tournament that wrapped up Saturday.
William Woods kicked off tournament play Friday by rallying for an 18-25, 17-25, 25-17, 25-18, 15-8 win against Tabor (Kan.). The Lady Owls then followed that by producing another comeback in a 22-25, 22-25, 25-10, 25-18, 15-8 triumph against Oklahoma Wesleyan.
William Woods downed Southwestern Christian 21-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-14 in Saturday's first match. The Lady Owls then fell to College of the Ozarks 25-22, 15-25, 22-25, 25-22, 15-10.
William Woods (8-9) returns home for a tough test in its American Midwest Conference opener tonight against No. 1 Missouri Baptist. The match starts at 7 p.m. at Anderson Arena.
