Boys Basketball: South Callaway 66, Newburg 63

CROCKER - Trace Helsel hit a half-court shot at the buzzer Saturday, giving the South Callaway Bulldogs a 66-63 victory against the Newburg Wolves.

It was the second win in a 24-hour span for South Callaway, which trailed 18-11 after one quarter and 38-28 at halftime. The Bulldogs were down 50-41 after three quarters before scoring 25 points to rally in the game's final eight minutes.

Tyler Lepper led the Bulldogs with 17 points, while Helsel finished with 16 points. Brandon Brewers also reached double figures with 15 points.

South Callaway (2-3) is scheduled to play today at Tuscumbia.
