Three Callaway County residents were arrested over the past weekend in separate incidents, Callaway County Sheriff Clay Chism said.
On Saturday, Callaway County Prosecuting Attorney Christopher D. Wilson charged Kristen Chudej, 31, of Mokane, with second-degree felony burglary, felony stealing, second-degree property Damage and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
Callaway County deputies arrested Chudej at 7:25 a.m. in the 5000 block of River Hills Drive, near Mokane. Chudej is suspected of involvement in a Mokane area residential burglary reported April 28.
Deputies had been following up on the initial report that led to the charges. Chudej remains incarcerated in the Callaway County Jail on a court-set bond of $9,000.
On Sunday, Wilson charged Isaak Wallace, 19, of New Bloomfield, with the felony offenses of second-degree domestic assault and second-degree kidnapping.
Callaway County deputies arrested Wallace at 7:52 p.m. in Jefferson City. He is suspected of involvement in a domestic disturbance on County Road 373, near New Bloomfield. As a result of the disturbance, the victim was transported to a Jefferson City hospital for injuries sustained during the assault.
Wallace remains incarcerated in the Callaway County Jail on a court-set bond of $40,000. The Jefferson City Police Department assisted with the investigation.
At 10:38 p.m. Friday, Callaway County deputies responded to a disturbance in the 7000 block of County Road 409, near Hams Prairie. While investigating the disturbance, deputies came into contact with Jeremy Hays, 32, of Fulton. During the investigation, deputies determined Hays was wanted by police for felony probation violation (the original case was for felony domestic assault investigated by Fulton police).
Hays was arrested and transported to the Callaway County Jail where he remains incarcerated on a court-set bond of $10,000 cash only.
