Boys' basketball: South Callaway 59, Linn 58

LINN - Senior guard Treysen Gray connected on three free throws after a 3-point attempt with six-tenths of a second to play Friday night, lifting the Bulldogs to the dramatic SMC victory over the Wildcats.

The win was the second straight for South Callaway (2-6, 2-1 Show-Me Conference). The Bulldogs trailed 13-10 after one quarter and 31-30 at halftime, but outscored Linn 14-10 in the third quarter to take a 44-41 lead.

Gray delivered a game-high 29 points to guide three players in double figures for South Callaway. Senior guard Dylan Paschang was next with 11 points and junior guard Adam Albaugh finished with 10.

"This was a complete game from our team," Bulldogs head coach Seth Thomas said. "They showed what they're capable of and I couldn't be more proud of their effort and execution.

"Playing Linn on the road at their place is always tough and this is a big win for us. It definitely gives us some momentum heading into next week against Hermann and North Callaway."

South Callaway stays on the road for a non-conference contest at Hermann at 6 p.m. Monday.
