ROLLA, Mo. - The William Woods University Owls finished 13 shots ahead of Drury University to secure a team championship at the Miner's Classic on Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Lucy Matthews took the individual crown with a two-over par 72. Senior Fumika Matsumoto finished in second with a five-over par 85. Senior Nikki Callahan finished in sixth with a 13-over par 83 and junior Kelsey Moreland rounded out the Owls in 18th with a 19-over par 89.
The Owls will return to action on Oct. 2 at the Cougar Classic in Columbia.
