Holts Summit man in fatal crash

ASHLAND - A Holts Summit man has died in a Nov. 7 car accident, according to a Missouri Highway Patrol crash report.

Aaron J. Meeks, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by the Boone County Medical Examiner. His next of kin have been notified, the report stated.

Troopers reported Meeks was traveling north at a high speed on U.S. 63, just north of East Zumwalt Road. At 6:35 a.m., his vehicle rear-ended a dump truck driven by Jimmy D. Bittle, 32, of Hartsburg, who was not injured.

Bittle's truck was moderately damaged, while Meeks' 2015 Dodge Charger was totaled. Meeks was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the report stated.

In a separate incident Wednesday, a Fulton woman received moderate injuries in a crash on Old U.S. 54, just south of County Road 414.

Jaime L. Jackson, 39, was driving north at 3:24 p.m. when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and overturned, according to a Highway Patrol crash report. Jackson was transported via ambulance to the Fulton Medical Center.

Her vehicle, a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country, was totaled.

Troopers also reported Benjamin A. Bader, 18, of Fulton, was arrested about 10:30 a.m. Friday and charged with speeding (106 miles per hour in a 70 mph zone) and misdemeanor warrant for expired plates. He was taken to the Callaway County Jail.
