Junior forward Rodrigo Alves scored the game-winning goal in the 88th minute to give the WWU Owls an American Midwest Conference victory over the Williams Baptist Eagles Saturday at Firley Field.
Alves was assisted by senior midfielder Jesse Jordan on the play.
William Woods University (8-3, 2-2 AMC) had 15 shots - seven on goal - and six corner kicks. Junior goalkeeper Conor Cable recorded four saves.
The Owls play an AMC game at Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) University at 7 p.m. Thursday.
