Mann, Lady Bulldogs cross country team finish third at Vienna

VIENNA - Sophomore Adrian Mann came in third individually in 22 minutes, 18.64 seconds as the South Callaway Lady Bulldogs cross country team also finished third overall at the Vienna Invitational on Wednesday.

Mann directed three medalists for South Callaway. Junior Kallie Guthrie took 14th in 24:33.44 and senior Amanda McDonald finished 20th in 25:12.34.

Also placing for the Lady Bulldogs were sophomore Greta Cross (26th, 27:45.31) and freshman Mattie Hampton (28th, 28:52.71).

South Callaway's lone medalist in the boys' division was freshman Daniel McDonald, who placed 20th in 20:10.66. The Bulldogs' other finishers included sophomores Austin Clubb (24th, 20:52.39) and Nick Rodriguez (49th, 23:18.94), and freshman Peyton Stinson (58th, 25:01.26).

"We had a lot of strong finishes today and some great times," South Callaway head coach Stephanie Turner said. "There were some career PR (personal-record) times today.

"I'm very proud of this team and their hard work is really showing in competition."

The Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs don't run again until they host the South Callaway Invitational at 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19.
