Lady Owls' junior midfielder Jordan McNamara logged the match's only goal to push William Woods to a 1-0 American Midwest Conference triumph over the Lady Bulldogs on Saturday.
McNamara scored off an assist by junior midfielder Haley Pipes in the 57th minute. It was her team-leading 11th tally of the season and helped push the Lady Owls above .500 for the first time all season.
William Woods (6-5-2, 5-1-2 AMC) outshot Benedictine on goal 12-2. Sophomore goalkeeper Brittany Griffin saved both shots she faced to record the shutout win.
McNamara was named the AMC Offensive Player of the Week after collecting three goals on 10 shots in last week's pair of games. Individually, McNamara ranks fourth in the conference in goals, while her point total (25) is sixth best in the AMC.
The Lady Owls host Harris-Stowe in an AMC clash at 7 tonight.
