A combined investigation between the Callaway County Sheriff's Office and the City of Auxvasse Police Department has lead to the arrest and charge of three teenagers here for burglary, stealing and receiving stolen property.
Devin L. Montcalm, 17, Patrick A. Lansing, 17, and Jacob R. Moore, 18, were all arrested for burglaries in the city.
"We've been receiving information and arrests were made," said Callaway County Sheriff Dennis Crane. "It started around Aug. 8, and then had picked up throughout the last part of August and the first part of September. Some names had come to the surface and eventually we had enough information received to arrest these three."
Crane said that an investigation continued and "a couple more arrests probably are pending." He said the three arrests so far should resolve at least five individual cases of burglary or stealing.
Montcalm faces two charges each of first and second degree burglary, four charges of stealing and receiving stolen property. Lansing has been charged with first degree burglary, two charges each of second degree burglary and receiving stolen property and one charge of stealing, while Moore has been charged with two charges each of second degree burglary and stealing, receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.
