You can't play football at a good school when you're homeschooled. ;}
Have you ever considered home schooling? Like you said, enough is enough , do your job right, or get out and let someone else do it. Yes you pay taxes and have every right to send your child to school but if you have that big of problem with it by all means use the education you received to benefit your children. Your taxes pay for a lot of other services you will never use so what's the difference?
It appears that someone is just here to argue and want their way but yet does not run for the school board themselves.
I feel sorry for those of you that have children at NB and have to put up with this person.
The school my children attend has football and yes my son was lucky enough to attain a football scholarship but he also has an academic one. He attained these all on his own without his mother making a fool of herself in the local newspaper.
I'm not sure where the posts are disappearing to but I just want to make it clear that an academic scholarship will take you farther than an athletic one.
You do realize that there are other ways to gain a scholarship? Academics is the most guaranteed way of obtaining one. Injuries are high in football. If you have a football scholarship and end up not being able to play because of an injury, there goes your scholarship.
Small schools do not have a chance to compete with larger schools as far as athletic scholarships are concerned. It will take years for NB to develop a program like SC has done and actually have a potential for football scholarships.
You really need to quite whinning about not having football. If you feel your son needs to play then move or pay to have him go somewhere else. The school is struggling as it is and all you care about is football. You knew they didn't have football when you moved here.
Couldn't reach Derek? No surprise to their customers.
It will be interesting to see who will be the replacement.
