I understand the title of the article is Ameren Mo. defends EPA charges. What I don't understand is why there are only two quotes in this entire article from people who support the EPA and their push to reduce pollution to help us breathe clean air and drink clean water, neither of them being from Missouri!!! Don Norfleet sure took his time interviewing Ameren and Arch to make sure their voices were heard but didn't bother to consult the American Lung Association, for example, to see if there is a correlation between extracting and burning fossil fuels and a risk to human health, which there is!!! Poor form Don Norfleet and your attempts to make Ameren and Arch Coal look like the ones being persecuted. I can't wait to see your next article supporting the new nuclear facility Ameren wants to build by having ratepayers/taxpayers foot the bill because the private market will not take the risk, aka socializing the cost.
