Oh, well, I probably misunderstood the situation altogether then. Ugh. Here's the deal with that. The word filter is, unfortunately, very strict because we've had a huge problem with spammers. Don't know if this is it, but for instance, h t t p, h t t p s, and w w w are not allowed. If you're posting a web address, either space those out, or actually, they're not even needed in most web addresses anymore. Sorry for my confusion.
I believe I restored the missing post. I could see it in the administrative interface but for some reason, it wasn't showing up on the page. I added a couple superfluous spaces to the text and resubmitted it and it appeared. I don't know what caused that to happen.

A general reminder to avoid having comments removed: Please avoid personal bickering and accusations against other participants, and instead, focus on issues related to the news story and legislation. Thanks. --Rick Brown, online editor
I like the fact that this conversation is mainly about the specific requirements and analyzing the impact of Prop B. It's okay to be passionate about your viewpoints, but please don't get sidetracked with name calling or personal accusations. (So far, not much of that has happened but let's avoid it altogether.) Help everyone reading the forum understand the specifics of the disagreements by continuing to focus on the issues. Thanks. --Rick Brown, online editor

Incorrect on all three counts. But if they were true, the same conclusion would apply equally to the Columbia Tribune (different ownership, using the same system), the Lawrence Kansas Journal-World (different ownership, same system), multiple other clients of this system, or for that matter, alternative systems running Facebook, other local news sites I've seen crash, and any other website that experiences troubles. Which, in my experience, is the majority of them. Why? It's a network of computers. Can't live with 'em; can't live without 'em. Nevertheless, just as all the other sites I've cited do, we'll take the trouble reports and continue our efforts to correct them in the name of fighting the good fight.
