Good for you!!
Congrats. I really like this lady. Even though we moved out of the area, I still pay taxes there. I would love to talk to her about huge problems that Callaway has even though I am sure nothing can be done. She is a good politician.
Give me a break. I moved from a small Callaway town because of drugs and to be honest, hateful hicks that tormented people. Kingdom doesn't need help any more than any other place. We appreciated the Sheriff in Callaway and understand that they are understaffed. There is so much they can do. However, that being said, we were told one time when we called that they were on I70. Stay off of I70, thats for the Patrol. We actually have a "satellite" station in the county we moved into where they staff more than one Sheriff. They come out immediately and take care of business. Callaway could learn a lot from other counties. I realize its a huge county but I for one am sick I have to continue to pay taxes to them until I sell my home there. And now they are taking care of yet another city.
Or the pizza place.
God, you gotta love Holts Summit people. We moved out of that area, it had gotten so bad. Five murders, numerous thefts. What cracks me up about this article is that the cop was at the gas station when he spotted the thieves. Isn't he always at the Gas Station? ha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Someone couldn't even be involved in government in a small town without fighting in city hall. What the heck would they even know about legislation at the state level? Give it up.
You all have enough problems in Holts Summit without taking on Lake Mykee. Good luck to Lake Mykee on police protection, they couldn't even take care of Holts Summit. And I think HS has enough to annex in their own burg. You need to annex that stye on South Summit Drive, the place looks like pigs live there. We moved out of the area because of poor police protection, awful planning and zoning (ratty cars parked everywhere) and basically an attitude of you are on your own. (Oh let me clarify, they can take care of the bridge and the four lane but nothing else). You might want to rethink this Lake Mykee.
My father who is a vet is buried in Callaway Gardens. Thank you, David, for everything.
