Reports: MU basketball coach interviewing at Tulsa April 17, 2014
Was CPS contacted about these stupid parents who thought it would be okay to take an infant with them while they go on their crime spree? I am glad the baby wasn't hurt. Sounds like the others could use an arse full of lead! If you can't protect your property with the castle doctrine, the castle doctrine needs to be revamped!
"[A] red-tape, bureaucratic nightmare"... truer words were never spoken. As if it's not bad enough to be saddled with a deadbeat dad (or mom) for your child, you also have to deal with the Family Support Division. While I appreciate their attempts to collect the child support due, they are also a part of the problem. They intercept tax returns but do they give that money to the custodial parent in a reasonable period of time ? NO, they hold it for 6 months! So the deadbeat parent gets immediate credit for having paid that support (which often makes a difference as to whether or not they suffer any consequences for their deadbeat ways) but the child and custodial parent don't actually receive it for many more months. Keep in mind the deadbeat must be significantly behind on payments before the Family Support Division will even intercept those tax returns. So custodial parents & their children suffer for an extended period of time while the State collects interest on money that was never theirs to begin with.
Sounds like you should consider moving to JC, where the football program takes precedence over everything, including academics.
No, I don't work for public education. Just a homeowner who did the research before deciding where to purchase. My child is in a good school because that was the number 1 consideration when we were looking to purchase a home. Now we pay too much $ for a house that is older than we would like and we drive a distance to work everyday but our child attends the school we prefer.
No open enrollment! If you want your children to attend a certain school, do as we did and purchase a home in that school's district. Then pay taxes in that district. Problem solved!
A 250% percent rate increase in the past 3 years? No wonder Mokane can't get some people to pay the bills!
