The New Bloomfield R-III School Board approved an architectural contract with Porter, Berendzen & Associates, out of Columbia, at its regular meeting Thursday. The architecture firm will work with the district as it completes projects outlined in its recently approved bond issue.

Instructional coaches present end of year report to school board
The South Callaway R-II School District recognized long-time employees and retiring personnel at its school board meeting Wednesday night. And, a group of the district’s instructional coaches gave a presentation to the board of education.

School board votes 4-3 to deny project bid
The South Callaway R-II Schools Board of Education voted Wednesday night to not accept a bid for the multi-purpose building and, in a separate vote, decided to table discussion of the project until January. The vote on both items was close with four voting against and three voting for in both matters.

National search brings St. Louis business school dean to Fulton
Westminster College selected Benjamin Akande as its next president, effective July 1. Akande arrives to Westminster after 15 years at Webster University in St. Louis, where he served as dean of the university’s George Herbert Walker School of Business and Technology.
